“I have always loved the idea of writing a children’s book. It’s been on my agenda for some years,” Ben begins, describing how the concept for Luna emerged. “Luna is a fawn, inspired by my love for photographing Roe Deer and the moon in my local area.”
Luna the globetrotter Adventures
Visitors joined an interactive family trail that launched in April 2025, inspired by Luna, the goddess of the moon. Luna guided young visitors on a journey through the Baths, where they discovered fascinating connections between Roman culture and the moon and stars. The experience combined creativity and history, encouraging children to explore the site in an engaging and memorable way.

Luna has had trails at The Roman Baths and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Since her visit to them in the recent book "Luna explores Somerset", she was eager to find out more and launch her own trails! See our trails on our blogs page.
Inspiration
Ben says: “Living in the countryside, our massive problem is litter and the impact it has on our wildlife and all of us. With Luna's key attributes on travel, education, recycling and the focus of nature and the environment, everywhere she visits, I am making Luna a role model for children and adults in many ways.”
